KINGS LYNN TOWN GUIDES

OUR CAUSES - GIVING BACK

Our Causes

£110,000 and Counting

Donated to Local Worthy Causes.

One of the benefits of the work that Town Guides’ do is that any surplus that is made is donated towards good causes in King's Lynn.

All the money that is collected for our walks is used to further the conservation and promotion of the town. Since 1998 (we were established in 1975), we have guided over 50,000 visitors on walks around King’s Lynn and donated £110,000 to worthy causes.

This is recognised in a ceremony that takes place each year in the Town Hall and has become a regular feature in the King’s Lynn calendar as each year the Guides donate the proceeds from their Town Walks to local heritage organisations.

The annual ceremony takes place at King’s Lynn Town Hall is hosted by the Borough Mayor

Following another very successful year for the Guides, donations valued at £10,500 have been given to a larger number of organisations this year.

Recipients of donations from the proceeds in 2025 were:

  • The Civic Society

  • True’s Yard

  • The Minster

  • The Jewish Cemetery Society

  • Marriott’s Warehouse Trust

  • All Saint’s Church

  • Residents of Hampton Court
